We were thrilled to be a part of Emily and Jonathan's sophisticated and utterly unique wedding celebration at the stunning W Melbourne. With impeccable styling by the talented team at Philoxi Styling, this wedding was a masterclass in modern romance, combining rich, deep tones with unexpected, organic design elements.
The Signage: A Flowing Statement
One of the standout features of the night was the bespoke signage we created. Moving away from rigid, traditional displays, Emily and Jonathan opted for a truly contemporary look with our bent acrylic signage.
We worked with a gorgeous, high-gloss finish in a deep, luxurious dark chocolate burgundy. The key design element was the organic edges - the acrylic was expertly formed to have a flowing, almost melted appearance. This created a dramatic contrast between the sharp, modern material and the soft, liquid shape.
The result was a welcome sign that felt more like a piece of sculptural art than a simple informational board. It was an immediate statement piece, setting a rich, moody, and deeply romantic tone as guests arrived. The couples' names and the date, "04 OCT 25," stood out crisply in white, beautifully complementing the dark, rich colour.
The Menu: Function Meets Fold
This sense of polished yet slightly unconventional design carried through to the dining experience. For the tables, we crafted concertina fold menus that were both elegant and highly functional.
The menus featured a beautiful olive-green and white palette, with a design that echoed the sentiment of the celebration: "FOOD, FAMILY, FRIENDS, TO EAT, CELEBRATE, LOVE SERVED." The multi-panel fold allowed for a clear, organised display of the evening's offerings and the concertina style was a subtle nod to classic design, updated with a modern colour scheme that sat perfectly against the white linens and deep red floral arrangements, reinforcing the overall sophisticated ambience of the event.
The Final Touch
From the luxurious table numbering to the cascading floral arrangements in passionate reds and soft whites, every detail curated by Philoxi Styling worked in harmony.
Emily and Jonathan's wedding was a perfect example of how combining classic luxury with bold, organic design can create an unforgettable atmosphere. It was an honour to contribute to a night that truly celebrated their love with such style.
