Some weddings whisper elegance. Eu Kin and Elisabeth’s wedding at The Big Group at State Library Victoria absolutely radiated it.
From the very beginning, this celebration was designed with intention — every reflective surface, every sculptural floral moment, every carefully layered detail contributing to an atmosphere that felt modern, editorial, and deeply personal. Chrome became the hero material of the day, weaving its way through the styling in a way that felt futuristic yet warm, elevated yet inviting.
Under the direction of Philoxi Styling, the reception space transformed into a luminous dining experience where metallic finishes bounced candlelight throughout the grand architecture of the venue. Long mirrored tables created endless reflections, enhancing the drama of the space while still allowing intimate moments to unfold naturally between guests.
One of the most meaningful design elements came through the stationery suite we created for the couple at Rebel Reflect. While the overall aesthetic leaned contemporary and fashion-forward, it was important that the details also honoured Eu Kin and Elisabeth’s Chinese heritage in a way that felt seamless within the design direction.
The menus became the perfect storytelling piece.
Incorporating Chinese typography and culturally significant elements into the menu design allowed us to pay tribute to family, tradition, and heritage without disrupting the refined editorial feel of the day. Instead of feeling separate from the overall styling, these details became part of the visual language — understated, intentional, and beautifully integrated amongst the chrome, candlelight, and layered textures.
The result was a wedding that felt deeply rooted in identity while still pushing creative boundaries.
Florals by Blonde Florals softened the metallic finishes with organic movement and tonal blooms, while draping installations from Pro Light Styling added dimension and intimacy to the grand space. Every detail worked together to create a mood that was immersive from start to finish.
Captured beautifully by Kyra Fols Photography, the gallery perfectly reflects the emotion and atmosphere of the day — sophisticated, modern, and filled with heart.
A wedding that proved contemporary styling and cultural storytelling can exist hand in hand in the most beautiful way.
